Pamela J. Asquith is a Professor of Anthropology at the University of Alberta, Canada. She received a BA (Anthropology and Psychology) from York University, Canada and a DPhil (Biological Anthropology) from Oxford University, England. Her research interests are in the anthropology of science, comparative cultures of primatology, modern Japanese views of nature, and the Archive of Kinji Imanishi.

Peter Malachy Ryan was the Project Manager for The Kinji Imanishi Digital Archive from 2002-2004, under the direction of Dr. Pamela Asquith of the Department of Anthropology. As well, he has been the Project Coordinator for the Tech Edge Research Project for Terry Butler and the Arts Resource Centre at the University of Alberta (ARC).
Peter completed his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1999 and his Master of Arts in English (Humanities Computing) during the summer of 2004. He began his doctoral studies at Ryerson University as a Rogers Fellowship holder in September 2003. He is in the Department of Communication and Culture.

Project Manager: Media Lab Supervisor

Bernard Higham: behigham@ualberta.ca
Bernard was the Project Coordinator, Media Lab Supervisor, and managed the database for the Kinji Imanishi Digital Archive under the direction of Dr. Pamela Asquith of the Department of Anthropology. He has also been the President of the Humanities Computing Student Group (HUBOTS). Bernard has experience in public relations, GIS (ArcView), web site design, interactive CD production, and digital data archiving.
Bernard is specializing in Classical Archaeology with a specific focus on the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to the study of Roman commerce and trade in North Africa. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Alberta in Anthropology/Classical History and is in his final year of the Humanities Computing MA program.

Craig Soars: csoars@ualberta.ca
Craig Soars signed onto the project to aid in the management and processing of the .TIF images in order to prepare them for the archive. He is currently an undergraduate student entering his third year, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in English. A devout Mac user, his experience gained this summer with using the unix terminal in OS X may guide him towards an MA in Library Sciences or the HuCo program. His interests include being an audiophile, studies in ancient Rome, European cars, various forms of bicycling, as well as unusual books and films.

Carmen has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages (2004), and she was an assistant on this project for the last two years of her undergraduate studies, especially for digital photography and photoshop work.
